From the outside it's easy to see why this gun is so popular. The compact frame and small price make it difficult for many to pass up.

Taurus isn't exactly a saint in the gun community; I think it's worth discussing. Some people love them a lot and some don't. A checkered past with quality control issues over the years has led to some mistrust. Taurus has had some quality control issues in the past though. I will point out that many people speak highly of their customer service team and willingness to deal with issues.

It's hard to criticize a pistol at such an affordable price. The saying "you get what you pay for" generally applies to the firearms industry. The Taurus G2C is (in my opinion) the entry-level concealed carry option for those who can't or don't want to spend a lot. For reference, most pistols in the same class will cost around $500.

Taurus has better grip and structure. thumb operated safety; It offers quite impressive 12+1 capability with device rail and G2C. The "feel in the hand" I get from the Taurus G2C is not great from my perspective - even when compared to some of the top options on the market.

When I saw the Taurus G2C in person. I was honestly hoping for a lower price. It's not a good looking gun, but it's not ugly either. The grip is well made and fits my hand semi-comfortably – a good start here.

I recently went to the range with the Taurus G2C and fired several hundred rounds of several types of ammo. The G2C has had no problems with all the ammunition I've given it - including some popular self-defense ammunition. It's a little slower than it feels for a gun of this size, but overall it's not terrible.

One problem I faced while shooting was the spotlight. My middle (dominant) middle finger seems to dig into my right middle finger when I try a high grip. This is due to the combination of the angle of the trigger guard and the trigger pull - a point I'm sure I'll touch on in some depth in this review.

Advertisements against magazine publication are not advertised on G2C. This will deter left-handed shooters. As for the magazine release location, I'm pretty comfortable with it and have no problem using it. I have to say that the launch is on the short side and a bit sharp on the edges - not a big deal, but noticeable.

Operation of the external features proved mostly straightforward - although I found the slide release a bit stiff. I would not like to see a manual safety on a CCW handgun like the one found on the G2C, but it is reasonably usable.

For a pistol at this price, I wasn't expecting that much in terms of sight and initiative. My experience with both in my time spent with the G2C at the range has been excellent. I didn't get terrible sights, but they were less than ideal among the pistols I tested.

Lifting and restoring scenes after shooting can be managed from factory scenes. The classic three-dot installation was found on G2C, which proved to be sufficient. As with most stock scenarios, you won't find them useful in low-light shooting.

I was not a fan of the button on G2C. I may have fired nerf guns with better triggers in the past - yes. A unique feature of the G2C trigger is that it works with a single shot. I can see how this could be useful in some situations - although I don't think it's necessary.

I had a 5 pound long grapple against the wall and it broke near the back of the dart guard. While some cannot be bothered. This motivation style seems strange to me. Yet the trigger guard doesn't seem to break as I force my index finger to press down on it.

Although we cannot say for sure that there is a connection. The person with the button seems to dig into the knuckles of my dominant hand while pressing that button. I'm sure the extremely long commute (combined with less rail than usual) played a role in this discomfort.

While at the range, I was able to test the G2C's muzzle velocity with a popular self-defense round: the Hornedy 124g. XTP As I usually do for these types of tests, 5 shots were fired which were tracked by the Labrador equipment.

For reference, Hornady advertises a velocity of 1,110 feet per second from a 4-inch barrel for 124 grams. XTP

My testing showed that the average muzzle velocity from the G2C was 1,052 feet per second. With a 3.2 inch barrel these results are quite predictable. For those who want to see a little more information about my Rapid Muzzle Velocity Test, I have provided the following information.

When it comes to accuracy, I tend to avoid it a lot because I rely too much on shooters. I feel quite confident in the accuracy of the G2C and I hit the target well in my defense range. The G2C seems harder to shoot quickly and stay accurate than I'm used to seeing with a gun of this size. My theory is that the long stimulus bridge is directly related to this experience.

Compare Taurus G2c Size Against Other Handguns

In a market full of handguns ranging in price from low to high, individuals choose what they feel is the best balance of price and quality. G2C has a place in the rankings - although many would say the rankings are too low.

If it's a $200 handgun you can afford, the G2C will work if needed and I'm satisfied after taking it out. Also, I'm struggling to spend $200-$250 on G2C. better measures; Some of the more popular options on the market with better ergonomics and ultimately better build quality aren't too far off at this price point. If you actually only have $200-$250 to spend and don't have time to save much. I would spend that money for a well cared for and respectable used gun. The deals are there.

There is no doubt that this option will continue to be a very popular seller and you will appreciate the gun you get for the price.
