Glock 36 Slimline - This is the best defense choice I could make in a gun. It's compact so it can go almost anywhere, and the .45 is combat proof. It bounces when fired, as expected, but a firm grip and a little range practice can alleviate a lot of that. If you don't mind a little muzzle jump, this is a great defensive gun.

Buy one, send the slide to the Glock Shop for a Predator cut, fabricate a titanium nitride barrel, install all available extension controls, get a tungsten guide, pyramid trigger, some magazine extensions, and you have what, in my opinion, is the ultimate weapon.

Tighten your belt and in the summer heat you can go out in shorts and a T-shirt without a print. It is invisible with a jacket or light sweater in autumn and winter. With one round in the chamber and seven in the magazine (with +1 extension) you have 8 rounds of .45 acp at your disposal, light enough to handle any critical incident.

Firearm Review] Glock 36 Review For Concealed Carry

Don't get me wrong, I love my G43, and now that I've adjusted the trigger on my Springfield XD 45, I really like it. But the G36 represents what a concealed weapon should be.

In my opinion, this is one of the best value Glock models. As a .45 ACP fan this is a great CC option. I equipped my G36 with a set of Glock night sights, a 3.5 pound trigger bar, aftermarket trigger, and a Pearce +0 grip extension. It has surprisingly little recoil.

Now that the frame comes with the option to install a light or laser, I would expect this model to gain more popularity.

I hope Glock continues to update the G36 and expand their unique line with the growing success of the G42 and G43.

Test: G43 The 9mm Subcompact Glock

If you are looking for a stack, amazing and very smooth recording. Complete with matching rail accessories.

I bought a Glock 36 when they first came on the market to replace my backup pistol (SW640).

I was so impressed with it that it became my EDC concealed carry weapon when my G21 was retired and the 640 was still strapped to my ankle.

I was an undercover detective for about 30 years, just before I retired I bought a Glock 36, have had it for over 20 years, never had a single malfunction. The Glock 36 is an elegant, powerful, simple and reliable self-defense weapon. Shooters with recoil problems are beginners who need practice. They also love this weapon. Easy to disassemble for cleaning (requires 400+ rds each). This is the perfect rifle for self-defense

The Glock 36: A Really Big Gun In A Small Package

I bought my Glock 36 over 5 years ago and am happy with how well it shoots. For a .45 ACP with a barrel just over 3½" recoil is very manageable. Amazing accuracy out to 15 yards, definitely for close range defense. Standard Glock trigger with medium release and decent trigger reset. With stock sights, sight alignment is very good. I put +1 extensions on my mags which gives me 7+1 rounds. With a comparably sized gun the weight and firepower of this gun can't be beat.I haven't found anything better for concealed carry, it's a Glock, it's reliable and I'm sure I will defend myself with it if necessary.

I've been taking mine to the deserts of Idaho, Utah, and Montana for years. Put on a 3lb trigger, Laser-Max, Trijicon night sights. I put a 230 hardball into a 5 inch barrel (860 fps) which was within the recommended pressure. No doubt it gives you the creeps, but I find the odds more comforting than a man or a bear.
